Maths in action! Our Year 1 mathematicians have been busy learning how to use <, > and = to compare amounts. We've been practising using mathematical vocabulary to explain our thinking, reason about different amounts and justify our answers. Year 1 have been learning all about amphibians! We discovered how amphibians need both water and land to thrive, and why it is so important that ponds have safe ways for them to get in and out. The children then put their learning into action by creating suitable habitats for amphibians, thinking carefully about what frogs and other amphibians need to survive. And the best part... we spotted frogs in our very own school pond! Learning about our world, right on our doorstep!
Year 2: Tints, Shades & Seaside Art After our fantastic visit to Southend beach, Year 2 are bringing their seaside memories into the classroom! The children are exploring tints and shades to recreate their own beachscapes, experimenting with colour to capture the different tones of the sea, sand and sky. We love seeing our children turn real-life experiences into creative learning!
Caring for Creation Our children from Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 have been busy creating beautiful posters for Creation Sunday. Their artwork reminds us of our special responsibility to care for God's wonderful world and all that He has created. We are so proud of their thoughtful ideas and creativity! The posters will be displayed in our church for our parish community to enjoy.
Our Pupil Leaders Today we proudly welcomed our new Eco Warriors, School Councillors and Faith Disciples These children have been chosen to share ideas, make a difference, care for our school and community, and help us live out our faith every day. We are so proud of them and look forward to seeing them lead with love, kindness and perseverance. Well done, everyone!

KS1 Science We were delighted to welcome Eden Oasis to school for a fascinating hands-on learning experience all about animals and their habitats for the children's science topics. The children had the opportunity to get up close to some incredible creatures, including an aardvark, guinea pigs and snakes, whilst learning all about where animals live, how they adapt to their environments and what they need to survive. There were lots of smiles, excitement and even a few brave moments!
